Good morning it's Egg Day!

So  the entire world is confined within  four walls with almost negligible physical activities and  uninvited hunger tide every now and then. As a result we are becoming couch potato. I know we are all locked down and this sudden  change has completely turned our life upside down. Believe me or not , this crisis won't last a lifetime and everything will be bright and chrome again.  So it is extremely important for us to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of our loved ones too.

While staying healthy does includes a lot of  calculated  food intake  but it never means you cannot indulge in mouth watering dishes again.

What if I tell you that it is possible to loose weight  without  dying eating salad only.
I will  be talking about healthy  and dainty flavoursome recipes which will also be low in calories. So, the first thing that pops in my mind when I say " healthy food " is  Egg.
It is simply cheap, versatile and so easy to make . It's low in calories,  high in protein and can taste phenomenal if made in a right way.

Why Eggs are good for weight loss?

Eggs are nutritious and low in calories :

A large hard boiled egg contains  78 calories. It has vitamin D which promotes  healthy bones.

Eggs are rich in protein :

Protein aids weight loss  and it is extremely filling,  therefore reducing  unnecessary  food intake. Moreover eggs help to burn  other calories.

Eggs should be taken  in the morning :

Egg based breakfast  enhance smaller requirements of lunches , keeping the satiety level  high,  than any carbohydrate based breakfast.

Here are some of my favorite version of egg  which will not take more than 15 minutes to prepare.

1.  Scrambled Egg

It is simply golden, creamy and melts in your mouth. It's super easy to make and it's worth those Sunday morning.
Ps:Remember to cook  the egg on very low heat add some melted butter and salt to it. Add cream if you prefer.  ( cream might add some extra calories but hey it's worth Sundays)

2. Poached Egg

Well poached eggs are a little try and  comes to perfection with time and practice ofocurse but it is simply luxurious and delicious.
Boil the water and put some vinegar in it. And once it comes to boil  turn off  the  heat and  slowly slip the  egg inside  and leave it for  5minutes. You will see  how the poach forms on its own and let there be no water movements while this magic is done.

3. Omelette

This is  always easy and there are quite some version of it.   Sunny side up is absolutely easy to make and  super inviting.
Enjoy.

4. Hard boiled egg

Well this is what my mom did all my childhood.  I used to call them curuku .
It is a very cute and inviting presentation of hard  boiled  eggs for kids especially.
Hard boil the eggs for 10 minutes then  peel off the cover and  cut the egg into  halves  and  scoop out the boiled yolk and keep it in some separate bowl.  Add  mayonnaise ,salt, pepper, paprika and  make a paste.
Then  scoop back in the  shell .
Then  decorate it the way you want.
The  black eyes are black pepper and  nose is from  carrot.

Try to have eggs in breakfast with a complementary bowl of fruit or vegetable.  The above mentioned  recipes are homemade and I have tasted them myself.  They are really delicious.  They are healthy and  so much filling. In case you are a diabetic patient or suffing from cardiovascular disease then  the white  part of the egg is preferable.   Have 2 eggs in case you don't feel one  egg is sufficient. Eat anything healthy but please don't skip your breakfast.  It is the most important meal of the  day.
 Stay home.
Stay safe.
Stay loved .
Stay healthy.

And hey!
 Bon appetite.
